A film of its own
A whole adventure built around your place or your idea, from the question at the start to the last shot. It goes out on the channel like every other film and stays there for people to find.
For people and organisations with a story worth telling.
I'm interested in working with people and organisations who have a story worth telling, whether that's a place to stay, a destination to discover, an experience to share or a product that makes getting out there a little easier.
Through Beyond the Expected, I create films shaped by curiosity, the places I visit and the things I notice along the way. I'd love to hear from hotels, tourism boards, local businesses and brands interested in being part of those stories.
Every film is filmed, written, voiced and edited by me, and I only feature things I'd genuinely use or recommend.

The channel has had 90,756 views and 771 subscribers across 19 films since it started in October 2025.
Before that I spent four years filming in Singapore and Malaysia on my first channel, Explore More, which has 2,900 subscribers and 32,569 views. The Brompton came along for those too.
Over the last 28 days around 10,000 people watched, for a total of 1,500 hours. Most of them are grown up travellers with time on their hands, and half of all watching happens on a television.
From YouTube Studio, the 28 days to 15 October 2026. 414 people subscribed in that time.

Your stay, your route or your kit appears where it naturally belongs in a film I'm already making, shown honestly as part of the day rather than as an advert.
Vertical reels cut from the trip for @beyond_the_expected, made to stand on their own and point people back to the full film.
Stills and short clips from the shoot that you can use on your own website and channels, agreed before I set off.
I voice all my own films, and I've done a fair bit of voice work for other people too, from warm documentary narration to brighter commercial reads. If you've got a script that needs a voice, this is the kind of thing I can do.
